Welcome to my new series with Sara Scraps, Mood Board Madness! Each month we will tackle two different mood boards and show you what it inspired us to create. So check out Sara's channel here to see all of her projects!

For this week, we are tackling the Pinkfresh Studio August Mood Board! The regal jewel-tone colors are so unique! While this is a card challenge usually, Sara and I took it on for our scrapbook pages. Feel free to play along with Pinkfresh Studio's challenges on their blog.

I was lucky enough to flip through my Disney photos to find some mood board inspiration. These Beauty and the Beast show photos have similar regal tones! A match made in heaven for this mood board.

Once I had my photos picked out, I dove straight into my August HTKAKWS kit since it featured so many of these colors already. I needed to incorporate a few additional colors, like deep purple. I used the Flora No. 1 collection by Carta Bella for some additional options!

While this is a simple layout, I enjoyed using several of the stickers from the Crate Paper Magical Forest collection to create small clusters. These small clusters are how I incorporated the red tones and green tones from the mood board!

I'm happy to have featured this gorgeous title Thicker from Jen Hadfield. I think it is the perfect regal touch for a happy ever after type ending! The Beauty and the Beast show at Hollywood Studios is such a fun time. I highly recommend watching it when it comes back!

Between the golden background paper, the purple and pink layers, and the small elements I think I nailed this mood board madness challenge! In the comments, let me know if you're going to play along. These jewel tones are a really fun challenges for a rich set of colors to work with.

Thanks for stopping by, I hope you enjoyed it! Let us know in the comments down below what type of mood board we should tackle next.

It's time to finally dive into my September HTKAKWS Kit! This layout brings me a lot of joy on so many levels and I hope it does for you too! The Crate Paper Magical Forest collection is so versatile, so much so that I can use it for cute photos of my cat! What would you scrapbook with this collection? This layout was inspired by Day 5 of Christy's Beautiful Life 30 Days of Sketches! A fun sketch that took a simple edit to fit my two photo set. I originally thought this would be a patterned paper heavy layout, but I ended up neutralizing the busy elements by pairing in a layer of kraft cardstock.

When working with a lot of patterned papers, making sure that there is enough contrast between the patterns in color, shade, and pattern type can help make it feel more intentional. I always enjoy mixing and matching manufacturers to get a unique look. All products featured on this page are linked at the bottom of this post!

Pre-made titles can make layouts so easy! This diecut that reads "Rise and Shine" was originally supposed to be the first half of my title. I originally thought that title would continue into "It's Time to Play", but I ended up not fitting that on to my page.

I kept some main elements from my sketch inspiration, but translated it to fit my photos. One of the main elements on the sketch that I kept true was the banner on the right side. One of the main elements I changed slightly was the overlapping photos. The photos in the sketch stacked on top of each other, but my photos fit better side by side.

My favorite thing about this layout is the bottom left cluster. I love being able to bring in several items small to midsize pieces together to create a fun and intriguing cluster! This one started simple and I slowly added in more and more layers. Items like clear stickers and rub-ons are great base components. On top of those you can add stickers, chipboard, foam, cork, and more dimensional pieces.

The glorious finishing touch on this layout was adding a bit more contrast. I achieved this through this adorable tiny black star stickers from the Crate Paper Magical Forest sticker book. So cute!

Thank you for stopping by and checking out my scrapbook layout! I love scrapbooking my cats especially with adorable collections like this one! Crate Paper Magical Forest was the perfect color scheme to inspire this layout. Let me know what you think of it in the comments down below.
