Thanks for joining Sara Scraps and me for another week of Summer of Stories! We all have stories to tell so why not share them to inspire?!

I am back with another fantastic capture of Montana views to document in my traveler's notebook. I probably snapped over 1000 photos and video clips on this trip. Don't forget to check out the travel diaries for Montana here and here to see what I am talking about! I love watching travel vlogs. If you do too, leave me some of your favorite travel vloggers to watch in the comments below.

It's hard to think of a great word when you are really amazed by something other than "wow". Which is how this spread got titled just that! This was the first outlook on my first hike in Montana and all I could think was wow! I couldn't believe how lucky I was to be there, how I was by myself, or even to have jumped at the opportunity to make the most of my time in the state. I wanted the photo to speak for itself. So, I kept the top page simple.

A simple title for such a complex feeling I was experiencing. I paired two horizontal strips - one a sticker and one a piece of washi tape - to create a shelf for my title. I debated putting the title directly on top of the open blue sky in the photo but thought that was a bit too much.

My maximalism jumped out for the bottom page. While I wanted the top page to be simplistic, I wanted to bring color and liveliness to the bottom page. I used the One Canoe Two Goldenrod collection to lead this cluster. I started with two large stickers and one cut-apart piece layered on top of a doily. This was the perfect base to start adding in little bits and bobs to fill in the gaps! Freckled Fawn washi, enamel hearts, and labels helped add some texture, while a few more One Canoe Two stickers helped fill in any awkward gaps.

Overall, I am excited to write my story of this feeling in the open space on the bottom left page. The blues and greens from the photo pair nicely with the additional shades brought in by the embellishments. I hope you enjoyed this traveler's notebook spread and my summer story. Be sure to check out Sara's video as well!

Who knew I would be so excited to document a photo of an airport. It's been such a long time since I've been to one, but hope to be back to traveling soon enough.

Today's process video again features my HTKAKWKS traveler's notebook kit that I've been working with all month long. There is just something so satisfactory of having the perfect supplies to match your photos, especially when they are older! Join me throughout the process in the video below.

I can't remember the last time I took a picture of an airport. I've seen MCO (Orlando) so many times that I think the awe of your home airport surely wears off. The airport I visited in Montana was a completely different experience. By far the smallest airport I have been to, I wanted to capture a photo of the exterior knowing that two rooms away was where I would have to board my flight to leave in less than a week.

There is nothing more summer than getting ready to go on vacation. Although I haven't been in an airport in well over a year, the thought of doing so is riveting. The travel bug is back for me and I can't wait to figure out what my next adventure will be and to bring you all along. One day I hope to make it back to Montana, but we shall see what's in the cards. The epitome of summer for me is the airport and the endless destinations it can lead to. A magical place when you really think about it.

This page features one of my favorite types of clusters. A strip of washi tape layered with a label and accented with themed embellishments! It's a clean and simple base, but the additional embellishments make my maximalist style heart so happy!

I hope you enjoyed another trip down memory lane with me to Montana. If you missed it, check out the second Montana Travel Diary here! A nice visual breath of fresh air for those of us missing traveling dearly.

It was probably only moments after finishing my first hike in Montana that I knew I had to squeeze in another one before I left. I started looking up other nearby hikes as soon as I got back to my hotel. I had one free afternoon left for my work trip and I was determined to make the most of it.

There are a lot of hiking opportunities in Montana. But finding one that was in ubering distance and that I could complete before the sun went down was making it more challenging. I stumbled upon Herron Park and after reading reviews on Google, looking at some photos of the views, and reviewing the trail map - I was sold. Come with me as I explore a much greater elevation and stunning views of Montana and Foy's Lake in this travel diary.

Herron Park was a different experience compared to Lone Pine State Park. If you missed my first Montana travel diary where I go there, you won't want to miss it - check it out here! I tried my hardest to capture the beauty that I got to witness in person through the lens of my camera. But I must say nothing will beat being there in person.

This particular trail was unique in that horses could go on it. While I didn't see any horses on the actual trails, I did see proof that they were there at some point. Although the trails at Herron Park were steep and winding in some parts, there were several mountain bikers taking it on.

Every so often as you walked the trails on the edge of the mountainside, you would see a break in the trees and get a view that was truly immaculate. Rolling hills, mountains in the distance, shades of green as far as you could see. Every time I look at the videos and photos I still feel like I notice something new.

Between the smell of the pine trees, the gorgeous views of Foy's Lake, and just an overall great time. Montana won over my heart. In the photo gallery below I left a few more moments I captured on camera but not on video. I got a lovely strawberry shaved ice and enjoyed exploring the shops downtown. While I loved the view from flying out of Montana, I still didn't want to leave.

If you've been to Montana please let me know in the comments down below where I should plan to visit next. I really want to go to Glacier National Park next time, but I know there is so much more to explore in big sky country.

Was Montana everything it was cracked up to be?

Yes, and so much more. I don't think I'll ever get over my trip to Montana. I only got to do a handful of things - including two short hikes and exploring a tiny bit of downtown Kalispell, but that was enough to have me hooked. Thanks for stopping by and visiting Montana with me. I'll continue documenting my stories of Montana in my traveler's notebook and sharing them with you!
